Maddox has fun accompanies Angelina Jolie during a flying lesson

Most kids his age are happy to play with toy planes.

But Maddox Jolie-Pitt leads no ordinary life, having two millionaire superstars as parents.

The eldest of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's growing brood was lucky enough to accompany his talented mother as she took a flying lesson Friday.

And always ones to keep her children equipped with up-to-date gadgets, the actress made sure the 10-year-old was occupied with an iPad.

The mother-and-son couldn't hide their smiles as they excited their car at Blackbushe Airport in Surrey, flanked by a burley bodyguard.

Angie, who received her pilot's licence in 2005, sat in the pilot's seat while her son sat in the back.

Her outfit didn't scream aviation attire bust she looked stylish in the grey maxi-dress and black blazer. Luckily she opted for a sensible pair of flat shoes. Her trademark aviator sunglasses were fitting.

Maddox isn't the only lucky child to get a plane ride with his mother. Shiloh, five, was spotted strapped in the back of a small aircraft last year in Los Angeles.

It was reported at the time that Angelina had already promised the little girl flying lessons of her own. Her other children won't be jealous though - their mother took them to Legoland in Windsor this week.

Angelina Jolie took her son Maddox flying with her on Sept 23, 2011.

The 'Changeling' actress treated her ten-year-old adopted child to a trip up in the air with her as she flew a small plane from Blackbushe Airport in Surrey, Southern England.

Dressed in a black jacket and aviator sunglasses Angelina certainly looked the part as she got into the cockpit with an instructor, while Maddox rode in the back seat.

The 36-year-old star has held her pilot's licence since 2005 and regularly goes flying. Maddox looked happy as he got in the plane and took his iPad device with him, either as a distraction for if he got bored or to battle nerves.

Angelina and her brood - which also includes Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne C are currently living in Britain while her partner, Brad Pitt shoots new movie 'World War Z', although he flew back to the US this week to attend a premiere.

In his absence, Angelina took the children for a day out to Legoland theme park in Windsor, near London earlier this week.

Although they admit raising a large family can be manic, Brad told this week how he and Angelina manage to get a little time for each other.

He said: "We find our time. We carve out Mommy, Daddy time. It's called a hotel. You got to get out of this house. You got to leave."

Their father Brad, 47, is in the U.S. after he flew out to attend the premiere of Moneyball in Oakland, California.

The family have made the UK their temporary home while Brad films his blockbuster World War Z.

Brad also found time to visit the Ellen show during his quick trip and discussed family life and the possibility of marriage.

Despite Angelina recently hinting that a wedding could be on the cards after the children started asking for them to tie the knot, Brad told Ellen DeGeneres that they still want to wait until gay marriage is legalized across the US.

The Hollywood stars both voiced characters in the Kung Fu Panda movies, sparking a close friendship. Angelina’s kids Zahara, six, and Shiloh, five, are big fans of the films and are desperate to spend time with comedian Jack.

“Zahara and Shiloh have gone so far as to ask their mom to set up a McDonald’s lunch date with the roly-poly funnyman,” a source told National Enquirer. “The star is their new celebrity crush.”

The two little girls have repeatedly asked their mother if they can phone Jack. She finds their interest in her co-star cute, but apparently suggested another way to impress him.

She told her daughters Jack would love to read something they’ve written and also told them to draw pictures for him.

“They soon got scribbling and Angelina sent Jack a package with sweet notes from Zahara and Shiloh, as well as colouring books the girls had completed in his honour,” the insider laughed.

“Zahara and Shiloh think he’s hysterical and tell their mom and dad they are in love with Jack.”

Angelina raises four other kids with partner Brad Pitt.
