Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Marcheline gets film role

Considering Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have so many incredibly photogenic children, it's no wonder that one of them is about to follow in her parents' footsteps and get their own moment in the limelight

Vivienne Marcheline, who is only four years old, is to play a small role in upcoming film Maleficent, Disney's new spin on the classic Sleeping Beauty fairytale. And no, although she's pretty short, she won't be playing one of the dwarves. The re-jigging of this version means that she'll be playing someone called Princess Aurora, who is the sworn enemy of Angelina's character, a witch.

We really wonder how Angelina can manage to play an ice queen, has she even got it in her? (That was said in our best sarcastic voice, just FYI)

In a statement released by Disney, the company said: "Angelina Jolies daughter Vivienne will play a minor role as the child version of Princess Aurora opposite her mother in Maleficent."

The live-action film explores the origins of Disneys most iconic villain, Maleficent, and what led her to curse Princess Aurora.

Ooh! This sounds very exciting. We're not exactly sure how we can wait until 2014 to see Angelina go all evil, but we'll have to try.

Vivienne won't be the first to star on screen, though, as older sister Shiloh appeared in daddy Brad's film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, playing his daughter. Awww.
