Angelina Jolie Says She's Lucky To Be Alive Following Drug-Taking Past
Angelina Jolie, who recently said she now reserves her wild side for her partner Brad Pitt, has said she took every drug possible during her hellraising years and is lucky to be alive.
Speaking to CBS News correspondent Bob Simonon on 60 Minutes, Jolie admitted, I took just every drug possible - coke, ecstacy, heroin, everything.
Acknowledging how fortunate she is to still be here, the 36-year-old said, I went through heavier, darker times and I survived them. I didn't die young, so I'm very lucky.
There are other artists and people who didn't survive certain things people can imagine that I did the most dangerous, and I did the worst for many reasons, I shouldn't be here. the Oscar-winning actress said.
Too many times where you came close to too many dangerous things, too many chances taken too, too far, she said.
However, the Salt star revealed her raucous days arent completely behind her. I still have that side of me. Its just in its place now. It belongs to Brad. Or our adventures, Jolie said.
Jolie has a series of tattoos, including one which, fittingly, reads: A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages, reports The Telegraph.
She is also infamous for once wearing a vial of her former husband Billy Bob Thornton's blood in a vial around her neck, and has been open about her bisexuality.
