Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's engagement getaway!

It was only last week that we welcomed the reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are officially engaged. Now it appears that the couple have gone on a celebratory holiday, whisking their large brood off to the Galapagos Islands, awww.

The family of eight (which let's face it, could technically be named 'a gang') arrived in the gorgeous islands just days ago to spend some private time together and celebrate the news of their engagement after being together for seven years.

Angelina must've been thrilled, as Brad didn't just splash out on a beautiful, no doubt very expensive ring, but the actor also took the time to design the custom-made peice with the help of top jeweler Robert Procop.

Brad had always maintained that they couple wouldn't marry until gay marriage was made legal, but had then admitted that he was finding it hard to not make the commitment to Ange, as the pair are so close, double aww.

Well, the celebrations don't have to stop here as soon enough the pair will be off again, venturing over to Canne for Cannes Film Festival so that Brad can showcase his new film Killing Them Softly.
