Angelina Jolie Passes on Salt 2 Script

Angelina Jolie can pretty much do what she wants, and that includes passing on the script to a potentially lucrative sequel. She's done it before on Wanted 2 and now reportedly she is turning her nose up at Salt 2 as well.

Moviehole reports that the actress has turned down the "current incarnation" of the project. "Jolie's just finished reading Kurt Wimmer's script for a potential sequel to her 2010 hit but didn't go for it," says the site. "Columbia Pictures have had Wimmer go back to the drawing board to see if he can come up with something that'll work for Jolie."

What's interesting about a report like this is the question of at what point in the development process did Wimmer, Columbia and Jolie diverge? Surely a general approach, plot, etc. must've already been discussed? Then again, it's Hollywood. Anything is possible.
