The actress is set to play the evil sorceress Maleficent in a remake of the 1959 Walt Disney film. She spoke to EW about the role, and said "wait until you see the horns".

"I start it in June, and it's a really great script. I'm having a lot of fun. I've already got my horns fitted. My kids are very happy."

The film will look at a different angle than the original story and original feature film adaptation, Jolie says "it's not anti-princess, but it's the fi! rst time they're looking at this epic woman."

"It sounds really crazy to say that there will be something that's good for young girls in this, because it sounds like you're saying they should be a villain. [Maleficent] is actually a great person. But she's not perfect. She's far from perfect."

When asked about the look of the 'Mistress of All Evil', Jolie replied "we're still figuring out the look. We're experimenting with different things. But the horns are the horns - you can't deny them. You have to have horns."

Tim Burton was originally linked to the production, but later left to focus on other projects. Linda Woolverton, who worked on Burton's Alice In Wonderland, has written the film script, while Robert Stromberg (Avatar, Alice In Wonderland) will act as production designer. David Yates is cited as a potential replacement director for Burton.
