Angelina Jolie Unimpressed By 'Salt 2' Script

The sequel to hit thriller 'Salt' has been thrown into chaos by Angelina Jolie, according to reports.

The actress, who has starred in a number of action-packed blockbusters including 'Tomb Raider', 'Mr and Mrs Smith' and 'Wanted', was allegedly unimpressed by screenwriter Kurt Wimmel's script for a follow-up to the 2010 smash.

'Salt' took $293.5 million at the worldwide box office, making a significant profit from its $110 million budget. The lead role was apparently intended for Tom Cruise, who was replaced by Jolie when he dropped out at the last minute.

Moviehole now reports that Jolie, who caused a media storm with her choice of Oscars dress, was not won over by Wimmel's 'Salt 2' script, and refused to sign up for it.

As a result, Columbia Pictures are said to have ordered Wimmel to go back to the drawing board and try again to win her over.
